An exhibition of transport posters from the BIAD School of Art Archive. It includes posters by Frank William Branwyn, F.C Herrick, Edward McKnight Kauffer, Charles Paine, Graham Sutherland and Walter E. Spradbury.

A display of the models and aids to drawing used in the teaching of art in the nineteenth century, from the BIAD School of Art Archive.
Flowers on the Underground
1-5 November 2004
An exhibition of London Underground posters with a floral theme from the BIAD School of Art Archive. This exhibition forms part of ‘Routes to Roots’ the national Archives Awareness Campaign 2004.
Christmas through the Archives
6-17 December 2004
An exhibition devoted to the theme of Christmas and winter celebrations as they appear in the collections. The exhibition includes designs for Christmas cards, illustrations of Christmas carols, travel posters, winter landscapes and plant studies.
Memory, Mind and Imagination: the teaching of drawing
28 February - 4 March 2005
An exhibition of the techniques of memory drawing and mind picturing in art education in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It reveals the techniques developed in the Birmingham School of Art under E. R. Taylor and Robert Catterson-Smith and Marion Richardson’s development of exercises to stimulate imagination and reflection.
