In this fifth Treasure Seekers display, Peter Powers has selected items revealing the history of ceramics at Margaret Street. Peter is the Ceramics Technician with the Department of Art.
His selection includes the Prospectus descriptions of pottery and ceramics courses as well as a book of press cuttings showing students at work in the studios in the 1960s. The display includes examples of student drawings entered for the National Design Diploma examinations. These are exhibited alongside ceramic pieces by Gil Hobson who graduated from the Ceramics course in 1985.
